The programme manager of the CAS ETH in Climate Innovation, Dr Carole B. Rapo, gives an insight into her motivation to use the continuing education programme to promote the networking of like-minded people so that they can initiate and lead transformative changes in their professional environment - the leaders of tomorrow in climate protection.

In an interview with Nicole Pfefferle, alumna of the CAS ETH in Climate Innovation, we talk about her experiences on the continuing education programme. She returned from Tajikistan after six years working in the field of international cooperation and then took part in the CAS at ETH. What motivated her to attend the programme? And what does she take away from the inspiring encounters at ETH Zurich for her work as a consultant in the field of climate change?

The MAS ETH in digital Clinical Research (MAS ETH diCR) was launched in 2022. One of the first participants was Ventsislav Dobrev. He is about to complete his last module by the end of June before he continues with his Master’s Thesis. When he started in the MAS programme, he was working for Novartis and as a digital health entrepreneur. Now, his new role is the Global Lead Digital Health at Ypsomed. Find out from the pioneer how the MAS programme has influenced his career.

Architecture is more than technical construction – it is a society’s footprint, merging interests like culture, politics, and the environment. This insight led Dorothy Holt Wacker to enrol in the CAS ETH in Public Governance and Administration. The programme’s interdisciplinary nature, top lecturers, and international cohort enriched her experience, providing practical skills and a broader understanding of public governance. Her advice: fully commit to the programme and plan your thesis early.

Raquel Gagliano has long sought a continuing education programme that offers a holistic approach to sustainability. She finally found what she was looking for with the MAS ETH in Regenerative Systems. In this interview, the architect with a background in sustainable design tells us what makes the DRRS programme so unique in her eyes.

The joint Executive MBA offered by ETH Zurich and the University of St.Gallen, emba X, has received its first award for "Innovation in Higher Education" at MERIT Summit & Awards in Paris. This recognition confirms the relevance and direction of the novel programme and its impact to the Executive Education landscape in Switzerland and beyond.

Saturday, October 28th, 2023, marked a historical milestone for continuing education in Switzerland, as both ETH Zurich and the University of St.Gallen celebrated the successful graduation of the pioneer cohort of their joint Executive MBA programme – the EMBA ETH HSG, known as emba X.
