Apply now for the new MAS ETH in AI and Digital Technology
The Master of Advanced Studies ETH in AI and Digital Technology (MAS ETH AID) provides business managers with the science and technology skills to better lead technology projects and teams in industry and to advance their careers.
The concept is the "Reverse MBA", which provides essential science and technology competencies to managers with no previous formal training in computer science, similar to how traditional MBAs provide business and management skills that are particularly helpful for engineers and scientists.
The first half of the MAS ETH AID consists of three CAS programmes that can be followed independently or as part of the MAS:
- CAS ETH in Data and Machine Learning (CAS ETH DML): starts this September 2024 and focuses on data science, modeling problems for automated solving with software, and machine learning as the foundation for modern artificial intelligence.
- CAS ETH in AI and Software Development (CAS ETH AIS): deepens the training from the CAS ETH DML with a focus on how software engineering and AI can be used to build real world applications.
- CAS ETH in Cloud and Mobile Computing (CAS ETH CMC): focuses on how AI applications reach and interact with users, customers and everyone in the real world, showing how AI can succeed or fail in the process.
The second half is limited to MAS ETH AID participants only and consists of an AI Project that dives deeper into the real world applications of AI, coursework in more advanced areas such as cybersecurity, and seminars on a variety of topical issues and latest research relevant to industry. The programme finishes with a Master’s thesis on a freely selectable topic in consultation with an ETH advisor.
Graduates will be able to communicate better and develop stronger relationships with technical teams and staff throughout the company. In turn, this will enable them to extend their existing management skills to take on more challenging leadership roles in interdisciplinary projects with significant IT and AI components.
