In brief: The CAS ETH in Cloud and Mobile Computing

This programme provides a targeted education in cloud, mobile and edge computing with AI to managers without prior formal education in computer science in order to advance their career.

Structure and content

Programme description

Participants of the CAS ETH in Cloud and Mobile Computing (CAS ETH CMC) learn how software applications and AI driven processes are delivered to users successfully over wire-less networks with four study modules:

  • Wireless networks & communications: fundamentals of data transmission.
  • Cloud computing: technological basis for scalable and efficient web services.
  • Mobile & edge computing: operating under real world constraints.
  • Programming for networked operations: using programming languages to enable application functionality over networks.

Objectives

The goal of this programme is to improve the decision-making and innovation potential of managers by providing them with fundamental technology training describing how AI driven applications and services are delivered across wide area networks.

Professional perspectives

Graduates of the CAS ETH CMC are able to take on more challenging roles in interdisciplinary projects with significant AI components conducted over networks. They also extend their existing management skills to include managing staff and projects involving the use of cloud, mobile and edge computing.
