Fundamental pharmaceutical and radiochemical state of the art knowledge: European drug legislation, quality assurance and GxP, Radiopharmaceutical chemistry, Radiopharmacology and clinical radiopharmacy.

Structure and content

Programme description

This international programme enables natural scientists to assume responsibility for both the production and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals. The programme is held in cooperation with the universities of Ljubljana and Leipzig.

It provides essential knowledge in:

  • radiopharmaceutical chemistry
  • drug legislation, quality control
  • pharmaceutical technology
  • pharmacology and nuclear medicine

The programme follows the guidelines of the external pageEuropean Association of Nuclear Medicinecall_made (EANM).

Objectives

On completion participants are capable of qualified and safe work with radiopharmaceuticals in order to take the responsibility for a legally compliant production of these drugs.

Professional perspectives

This programme enables natural scientists (chemists, pharmacists, biochemists) to assume responsibility for both the production and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals.

Chemists, pharmacists and other natural scientists involved in the production, quality control and R&D of radiopharmaceuticals.

Requirements

University diploma (MSc) in pharmacy, chemistry, natural sciences or equivalent education, radiation protection course.
