Enabling Innovation with Data Science: Apply now!

Harness the power of data to drive innovation and impact within your organization.

Data science is regarded as an enabler for data-driven decision making in industrial and – increasingly – public sector/non-profit organizations. Nevertheless, the ability to harness its potential for informed decision-making, and consequently, its significant impact on business, remains elusive to most organizations, owing to:

  1. A lack of professional expertise (i.e. senior data scientists and technically-aware decision makers) in this relatively new field;
  2. An often incorrect positioning of the "AI" topic with executives, resulting in mismatched expectations, missed opportunities and a "bad reputation" risk.

This 5-day course is intended for experienced professionals and executives wishing to steer data science initiatives and generate business impact.

It focuses on achieving impact and innovation with data science, featuring:

  • Theoretical lectures on selected applications of data science (for example natural language processing and computer vision) and related topics (such as explainability and model deployment);
  • Practical lectures on leveraging data science within a business context (project management, impact evaluation, performance metrics, stakeholder management);
  • Hands-on sessions with no-code user-friendly platforms and canvassing tools for effectively scoping new use cases;
  • Presentations of successful use cases delivered by SDSC and their partner organizations across Switzerland.

This course will teach you how to

  • Objectively assess complexity and scalability of AI use cases
  • Manage AI projects from scoping to MVP solution and deployment
  • Connect and share with other industry professionals

Ultimately, successful attendees will have the ability to identify arguments to negotiate executive buy-in for data science initiatives focused on rapidly and convincingly delivering business impact.
